Med Access has received Conditional Approval as a funded EMR solution in Ontario.

Another milestone for Med Access was achieved today with the granting of Conditional Approval of Med Access EMR. This Conditional Approval follows the successful completion of a validation testing process for Ontario’s EMR Specification 4.0. A validation site in Ontario is currently live on Med Access EMR and will be evaluated by OntarioMD in the fall. Funding Eligible status will be granted in the coming weeks following successful completion of this phase of the approval process.

“Med Access is an experienced and diverse company serving nearly 4,000 users, representing 30 medical specialties, and ranging from solo practices to medical schools to Province-wide EMR collaboratives.” commented President and CEO Paul Walker, “Our entrance into the Ontario market will allow us to bring our significant experience and expertise to support Ontario physicians and clinics in achieving their EMR goals.”

Approval for Funding Eligibility in Ontario, once achieved, will help solidify Med Access as the leader in EMR software and services in Canada. Med Access is currently the only vendor fully conformed and funded in all four Western Provinces, and has been approved in 100% of all Provincial EMR selection processes attempted. It is clear that the Med Access EMR stands up to the scrutiny of rigorous conformance testing.
