Danbro, the limited company accountants who offer services to contract and freelance workers, has supported another prestigious recruitment industry event by sponsoring a drinks reception hosted by the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCo) at the House of Commons.

The event took place on Tuesday, 13th September, and was hosted by MP Jim Dowd. The event gave delegates the opportunity to share their views on the controversial Agency Workers Regulations (AWR) and also partake in a Q & A session guided by Deputy Director of Employment relations at BIS, Peter Stephens.

With the regulations set to be implemented on 1st October 2011, staffing firms, hirers and service providers are working hard to ensure their organisations comply with the new regulations before they come into force.

Danbro’s Managing Director, Damian Broughton said: “I’m delighted Danbro could offer its support by sponsoring the drinks reception and I believe that the event offered a great opportunity for everyone who is set to be affected by the regulations to raise some important questions.”

“We have been working hard over the last 6 months to gain a thorough understanding of what impact the regulations will have on the industry. We recently launched four robust, compliant and concise solutions which will take much of the sting out of the regulations and we anticipate working even more closely with staffing companies to ensure complete compliance is maintained.”

Contractor accountants Danbro were recently named ‘Business of the Year’ and ‘Employer of the Year’ at the 2011 Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBA’s) and are one of the leading umbrella companies in the UK.
