Accomplished Ultra Runner Sets New Female Record for Double Badwater Race Attempt with Support from The Endurance Trust and FitFul

"We are thrilled to see Mimi Anderson accomplish yet another major goal," said Sergio Radovcic, CEO of FitFul Inc. "Becoming the fastest female, the fastest Britain and the 3rd fastest overall, to complete the Double Badwater foot race in the Death Valley ". Mimi finished the 292 mile round trip journey from the Badwater Basin (the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere at -282 ft) to the summit of Mt. Whitney (the highest point in the Continental United States at 14,500 ft) and back in 108 hrs 10 min 24 sec, beating the previous record by nearly 21 hours.

“Mimi embodies everything The Endurance Trust looks for in athletes…focus, commitment and selflessness,” commented Matt Nelson, President of The Endurance Trust, Inc. “Our team of volunteers was there with the rest of Mimi’s crew during this epic challenge providing on-the-ground support, pacing and taking care of the unique needs dictated by some of the harshest conditions on Earth. Having FitFul™ as our partner was essential to assuring our team was properly hydrated and nourished, thus giving Mimi more time to focus on the monumental challenge at hand – running 292 miles in temperatures that exceeded 120 degrees.”

“Completing the Double Badwater was an important goal for me,” remarked Mimi Anderson. “Doing what most people think impossible is another way for me to raise awareness about causes I believe in and help the organizations I work with do the impossible in their own world”. Mimi currently holds two world records in ultra running and was the first woman to complete a Double Comrades run in South Africa in 2010.
