During the first season of “Bar Rescue,” Bevintel helped bars and restaurants across the country discover hundreds of thousands dollars in lost, stolen and wasted alcohol profits as part of its role as a featured consultant on the inaugural season of the Spike TV show.
As the “Bar Rescue” season finale is set to air Sept. 25th and Spike announces plans for a second season of “Bar Rescue,” Bevintel CEO Dan Smith said the exposure the show provided has helped bars and restaurants understand what they need to do to survive - and thrive.
“We were able to be a part of helping bars and restaurant operators stop the flow of their liquor loss and put hundreds of thousands of dollars back into cash registers,” said Smith. “Bar Rescue and the attention it raised for one the most critical areas of a bar’s success – alcohol loss – has highlighted the importance of identifying and addressing the liquor and beer inventory issues that can lead to disaster for even well-run operations.”
During the season finale that airs Sunday night, Sept. 25th at 10/9c, Bevintel will again be called on to help, this time at Angry Ham’s Garage in Framingham Mass. During that episode, Bevintel helped the bar’s owners discover that in just four days they lost more than $2,807 in profits from lost, stolen or wasted alcohol.

Bevintel, which works across the globe with independent and chain bars and restaurants as the leading profit control and revenue enhancement service, was part of the original 10-episodes of the show that premiered July 24. On September 17th, Spike announced they will begin filming a second season in 2012.
Another season will further help America’s bars and restaurants recover what The National Restaurant Association says is an $11 billion loss every year from spilled or stolen liquor, Smith said.
“This show has done an incredible job explaining how to address some of the most critical areas that bar and restaurant owners overlook, and we’re looking forward to another great season,” Smith said. “There are simple things, and there are cutting-edge things that bar owners can do, to survive, but monitoring the flow and sale of alcohol has been a powerful way to immediately highlight the astounding differences between what bars and restaurants pour and what they sell.”
