Mary Woodbury to lead the newest Network Home Loans office located at 6th and Stewart in downtown Seattle.

Regional mortgage banker Network Mortgage Services has announced the opening of a new home loan center in Seattle, Washington. The non-bank lender, which operates its retail branches as Network Home Loans, received regulatory approval for the branch earlier this month and will begin operating at the new location in early October.

Mary Woodbury has been named Senior Vice President and will lead the company’s newest branch, located in the Plaza 600 Building at 600 Stewart Street. Woodbury, who began her mortgage career in 1986, previously managed operations for Phoenix Mortgage, GMAC Mortgage, and Landover Mortgage. She is a Certified Mortgage Lending Specialist and has been approved by the Washington State Housing Finance Commission since 1996. A lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest, Woodbury graduated from Bishop Blanchet High School and the University of Oregon where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education. Prior to her mortgage career, she worked as a professional chef in Vail, Colorado where she also served as a member of the professional ski patrol.

The Seattle office marks the fourth full service location for the company. In addition to Seattle, the company maintains full service lending operations in Everett and Silverdale along with its flagship operation and corporate offices in Lynnwood.

"Mary has been delivering the highest level of customer satisfaction for years," said Kevin Lane, president of the company. "As a customer-centric lender, we see her as a perfect fit for our organization. She’ll play a major role in our growth strategy and be an important voice on our leadership team.” While their competitors continue to consolidate the underwriting and processing functions into regional or national central offices, Network provides on-site processing and full underwriting authority at the branch level. Lane is quick to point out that the company’s only line of business is the consumer-driven origination and closing of single family home loans. “We’re not a bank and we’re not going to hassle our customers about a checking account, a certificate of deposit, their insurance business, or anything else.” Lane adds, “Our employees understand, and our customers appreciate, our business model—we make home loans and that’s all we do, period.”

Network Mortgage Services, founded in 1987, is privately held, and is the largest independently owned mortgage banking company headquartered in Snohomish County. The company originates loans in multiple states through a retail loan center, branch offices, and its wholesale lending channel. It maintains approvals from HUD, VA, multiple institutional investors and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac).
