London (PRWEB UK) 23 September 2011
DeVono, the first company in London to exclusively represent occupiers looking for office space to rent and purchase, has launched a retail and leisure agency division, entirely based on the same model of ‘no conflict’ representation. This will make DeVono the first acquisitions’-only, retail and leisure agency.
The new division, which is already looking for sites for clients including Banger Bros, Bo Innovation, Corney & Barrow, Now, Ping Pong, ShakeTastic, The Sicilian Chef, Topps Tiles and Yalla Yalla, is being headed up by Philip Sandzer, who joins DeVono seven years after selling his ownership of leisure property agency, Shelley Sandzer.
Sandzer has 34 years experience in retail/leisure property acquisitions and was responsible for the UK retail expansion for brands such as La Senza, Krispy Kreme and HSS Hire Shops.
DeVono co-director, Adam Landau, commented: “Over the past eight years we’ve proven there is a definite need for the interests of businesses to be solely represented by property professionals just acting in their interest and not for landlords also, which has traditionally been the case. It’s both an honour and privilege to have Philip Sandzer, one of retail and leisure property industry’s most respected and credible individuals heading our new division.”
Director Robert Leigh also commented: “We are now applying our ‘no conflict’ tenant representation model to the retail and leisure sector, which we believe will attract leading brands as well as the up and coming new ventures which London and the UK high street always seem to unearth.”
Philip Sandzer commented: “DeVono’s proposition of tenant representation shows an ethical, fair and forthright way of doing business in a way the industry has not seen before. It is on the strength of their track record and the exciting nature of their proposition that I’m delighted to announce my full time return to the industry.”
Established in 2003, DeVono is jointly run by co-directors Robert Leigh, Adam Landau and Luke Philpott. The company’s clients are a combination of media, marketing, PR, financial, legal, fashion and healthcare companies located in central London.
As a result of the unique proposition of exclusively representing occupiers, DeVono has acquired more offices for tenants than any other commercial property company in London since 2007.
DeVono are commercial property advisors specialising in all aspects of commercial property including offices, retail and project management within central London, acting exclusively for tenants and occupiers.
