Deloitte today announced that Savision is one of the twelve companies that will compete for the title 'Rising Star of 2011' in the Rising Star Event on October 6, 2011. The Rising Star is part of the Technology Fast 50 and is specially created for technology companies younger than five years. The companies are judged on their growth potential and business and the manner in which the CEO is able to get the company's unique proposition across. Companies must use and sell proprietary software in order to be nominated.

The companies that are nominated by an independent panel all have a unique proposition in terms of services, technology and management and a promising growth and development potential. Carlo Renne, program director of the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Rising Star nominees, says: "In these economic times it require perseverance to start a business. The Rising Stars of this year show that with innovative power and the right strategy success can be achieved in difficult times."

On 6 October the jury will decide, after a pitch by all entrepreneurs, who won the Rising Star Award in 2011. Gravesteyn is CEO of the valley, an agency group of specialists in the field of interactive marketing and a former winner of the Sustainable Grower Award. Juror Elderd Land is a partner at investment Gimv and member of the supervisory board of several companies in the high tech and ICT sector. The third judge, Ann-Pascale Bijnens, is the director of Tech Transfer UHasselt, a multidisciplinary team of experienced experts in the field of innovation and capital appreciation.
