Medved Castle Rock Hosts American Legion Event on September 24th

Medved will host the American Legion at the Castle Rock dealership as they show memorabilia, photos and other items.

Medved Autoplex, the leading car dealership in Castle Rock, Colorado is hosting the American Legion on Saturday, September 24th at the Castle Rock dealership. The American Legion will be bringing memorabilia (uniforms, photos, food kits, flags and other items) for display indoors in the Chevrolet Buick GMC building, and outside there will be a 1942 Ford GPA. A GPA is a General Purpose Amphib, which is a Jeep that goes on land or in water. Also outside will be a 37-millimeter anti-tank cannon for display.

In addition to sharing interesting memorabilia the American Legion will be grilling brats and raising money for a monument to be built in downtown Castle Rock. The memorial will honor all branches of the military. So far the legion has raised 10 percent of the necessary funds. The legion will also be recruiting and helping people understand the Legion program.

The American Legion helps to honor veterans of all the military branches. Often, they do the flag ceremonies and color guard at funerals and special events.

Medved Autoplex is a huge supporter of veterans and contributes to programs such as the Wounded Warriers Project. During the month of August 2010 and 2011, Medved contributed funds for each new car sold, to the Wounded Warriors.

Medved would like to invite any and all people to come out to Castle Rock and support some American troops both past and present while you check out some awesome American cars. Service veterans will receive an extra $250 off the purchase of a new car on Saturday, September 24th with proof of service. The event will run from 12:00-4:00 pm.
