Retailers leveraging updated features in the AccessVia Publishing Platform.

AccessVia announces growing adoption of the AccessVia Publishing Platform Version 8 among retailers. Big Y Foods, Coborn’s, Groupo Chedraui, Modell’s Sporting Goods, Sprouts Farmers Market, Stater Brothers, and Target are among those who adopted the Version 8 product line since it was released last year.

The cornerstone of the suite is Web dSignShop. Using centrally hosted data, Web dSignShop delivers on-demand sign and label printing capabilities to stores via a corporate intranet or the Internet with no in-store software to install. Expanding the publishing suite is Central SignShop, an application to operate and manage a centrally run sign printing shop. Retailers looking to gain every advantage in cost savings and efficiency can now use one platform to print in stores and centrally, maintaining quality and consistency in design while selecting the most cost effective and efficient way to print.

Central SignShop is integrated with Web dSignShop so store personnel can see when a shipment will arrive in the store in the same interface used for printing signs and labels in the store. This allows a retailer to select the right mix of central- and store-produced printing and leverage the cost savings and speed of central printing without sacrificing efficiencies and on-demand capabilities of an in-store system.

To oversee a retail operations shelf-edge marketing operations, AccessVia developed a new product, the Publishing Platform Manager (PPM). The PPM provides managerial control over common administrative tasks related to sign publishing. Retailers with more than one brand or banner, or retailers targeting promotions regionally or to specific stores can use the PPM to select which sign designs are used in which stores.

Another key feature in both the PPM and Web dSignShop is the ability to present different interface controls to different users. This “roles and profiles” capacity allows a retailer to provide store managers with one set of controls and store associates with another — resulting in both additional security for sensitive controls and simple, limited interfaces for novice employees.
