NEW YORK, NY (PRWEB) September 28, 2011
PRWeek’s landmark event has expanded to two days and this year takes place at the prestigious TimesCenter in New York City on Tuesday, November 8 and Wednesday, November 9.
Focusing on the crucial importance of corporate reputation and modern communications in the age of social media, this year’s theme is “The Mission is the Message: Authentic. Strategic. Transparent.”
PRWeek NEXT will feature a slate of high-profile speakers including Randi Zuckerberg, founder and CEO, R to Z Media and former head of marketing, Facebook; Patrick Byrne, CEO, O.co (formerly Overstock.com); Simon Lowden, CMO, Pepsi Beverages Co; Gil Schwartz, chief communications officer, CBS; Margit Wennmachers, partner at Andreessen Horowitz; and Jason Gordon, director of global comms at HTC.
Communications and the media are no longer linear - it is possible to influence conversations before they start by proactively identifying who is listening and who is forming opinions. In-house communicators and marketers are still searching for the big idea, but they are less discipline-specific about where those ideas come from.
PRWeek NEXT will showcase cutting-edge thinking from the best and brightest minds inside and outside the industry, capture the perspective of prominent chief executives, and feature the innovations of leading media, technology, and creative firms to raise the ambition and ability of the sector.
NEXT Conference session topics include:
- Inspiring innovation: Driving an enterprise to a new era – featuring O.co’s Patrick Byrne
- Where management trends are leading us – with CBS’ Gil Schwartz
- The media influencers – featuring Fast Company’s Christine Osekoski
- How to drive effectiveness and build business – with Pepsi’s Simon Lowden
- Launch of PRWeek/Porter Novelli Media Survey – featuring CNN Worldwide’s Janet Rollé
- PR’s challenge and opportunity – with agency heads Richard Edelman/ Rob Flaherty/Fred Cook
This year’s event will also include the 40 Under 40 Luncheon, which honors 40 professionals nominated by peers and colleagues and picked by PRWeek editors for the noteworthy contributions they made to their organizations, clients, and the industry before their 40th birthdays.
