As co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Intellectual Property Department in the Boston office, Dykeman is a registered patent attorney with over 15 years of experience representing high-tech clients, with particular expertise in medical devices, life sciences, and information technology. Dykeman was recently named one of the top 250 Patent and Technology Licensing Attorneys in the world by Intellectual Asset Management Magazine.

The BBJ selected Dykeman for his longstanding commitment to helping New England businesses thrive by assisting them in the development and success of their intellectual property. Dykeman’s many community and civic accomplishments were also noted, including, among others:

  •     Serving on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Medical Device Industry Council (MassMEDIC)
  •     Founding and Chairing the Healthcare Innovations Team of Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP) and reviving CJP’s Young Lawyers Group
  •     Being appointed as the only patent attorney to the Massachusetts Life Sciences Collaborative (MLSC) Research, Innovation & Commercialization Task Force
  •     Publishing over 25 articles on life sciences and intellectual property topics, and serving as Contributing Editor of The Journal of BioLaw & Business
  •     Mentoring aspiring young lawyers

BBJ Publisher Christopher McIntosh commented, “For the past 14 years, The Boston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 competition has honored the area’s energetic executives younger than 40 who are paving their way successfully through the local business world. The standout performers aren’t just trailblazers in the professional realms, but also are significant players in helping the community grow through charity work.”

Gary R. Greenberg, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Boston Office, states, “David exhibits the personal qualities that characterize our most successful leaders. His exceptional work on intellectual property matters, as well as his willingness to help others with their professional development, have earned him the respect of his peers, clients, and community leaders. We congratulate David on this well-deserved recognition.”

The 2011 40 Under 40 winners will be recognized at an evening reception at the State Room on Thursday, October 6.
