Tom Campana, assistant VP of agency and policyholder systems at Motorists Insurance Group, said, "IVANS has been our partner for over 23 years. Their knowledge of industry standards and implementation ensured a smooth and successful project."
Stamford, CT (PRWEB) September 26, 2011
IVANS, Inc. the largest insurance data exchange in the United States, announced today that Motorists Mutual Insurance Co. has selected IVANS to implement download for its commercial lines products. By integrating this technology into Motorists’ policy administration system, Commercial Advantage, independent agents who represent the company are able to receive updated commercial policy information electronically from within their agency management systems. The following commercial lines products are available for download: business-owners, commercial auto, general liability, property, umbrella and workers’ compensation.
Motorists Mutual, an IVANS customer since 1988, invested in the commercial lines download technology because it helps accelerate customer response time, simplifies the agent workflow and increases their competitive edge during an ongoing soft market. Leveraging IVANS insurance data exchange platform, Motorists’ commercial lines files can be downloaded on virtually any agency management system including Agency Pro, Applied Systems, Hawksoft, NASA, SIS, Vertafore and Xanatek. Agents can also use IVANS Transformation Station(sm) real-time solution for billing and claims inquiry and to quote/upload transactions for personal lines.
Tom Campana, assistant vice president of agency and policyholder systems at The Motorists Insurance Group, said, “Our agents have made a significant investment in their agency management systems, and we want to do what we can to support that investment. Providing a broad complement of download and real-time services are ways that make it easier for our agents to do business with us. IVANS has been our agency-company interface partner for more than 23 years, so we knew their knowledge of industry standards and implementation expertise would ensure this project ran smoothly and successfully.”
Commercial lines download technology saves time and improves operational efficiencies for agents by reducing manual processes and producing more accurate information. According to IVANS 2011 Carrier Automation Trends Survey, 30 percent of carriers surveyed have recently invested in commercial lines download and one-quarter are either implementing this technology or will integrate it into their workflow within the next year.
IVANS Download Solution allows carriers to send policy information in batch format with more than 40 agency management systems quickly and efficiently. Using industry-standard formats, IVANS interface technology solution downloads the data to electronic mailboxes on the carrier and agent side, enabling agents to pick up the responses to their requests as soon as they are available.
Clare DeNicola, president and CEO of IVANS, Inc., said, “Industry standards have contributed to the increased adoption of commercial lines download, and we are excited to use our deep knowledge of ACORD standards and implementation best practices to help Motorists on their project. In an increasingly competitive marketplace, more carriers are turning to automating workflows to sustain growth, create market differentiation and facilitate agent communication. In fact, we are doing more commercial lines projects than ever before, and we see this technology consistently exceed carrier and agent expectations in terms of improved productivity and customer service.”
