Bill Jacobs Joliet- the leading Chevy dealership in the Chicago area is very proud to announce that Chevy’s newest model, the 2012 Sonic has received the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety’s Top Safety Pick.
The Sonic scored top scores of “good” in all categories including frontal offset and side impact. The Sonic features StabiliTrak electronic stability, which is required to be a Top Safety Pick.
The tests help determine how well a vehicle protects the occupants in front and side crashes, rollovers via a roof strength test and in simulated rear impacts to evaluate head and seat restraints.
“Only vehicles that perform with the highest level of safety in their class earn the Institute’s top accolade,” said IIHS President Adrian Lund.
The Sonic comes with a wide array of standard safety features including ten airbags and a body structure that incorporates a single welded side ring unit. Also, 60 percent of the vehicle safety cage consists of high-strength steel.
Bill Jacobs Joliet is very excited about the 2012 Chevy Sonic and are happy to offer it to the people of Joliet. Customers who are interested in a new Chevy car in Joliet or a used car in Joliet should stop in at Bill Jacobs Joliet in Joliet, Illinois.
