Shannon Gray, North Star Destination Strategies’ Director of Research, delivered tourism research presentations to two groups this summer: the international Travel and Tourism Research Association conference in London, Ontario and the Ohio Association of Convention and Visitors Bureaus conference in Westchester, Ohio.
North Star Destination Strategies out of Nashville, TN specializes in visitor research and community branding. North Star’s Director of Research discussed their unique methods for multi-modal online visitor surveys as well as case studies of successful visitor studies conducted with Tioga County, PA; Dublin, OH; and South Bend, IN in two speaking engagements earlier this summer. The international Tourism and Travel Research Association Conference in London, Ontario focused on academic tourism research across the globe, while the Ohio Association of CVBs conference in Westchester, OH focused on ways to improve destination marketing by using tourism research.
