Results from a recent study among consumers shed light on how Americans intend to celebrate and shop this holiday season.

Invoke Solutions recently conducted one of its ‘Invoke Live!’ research studies with 110 American consumers to inform its 2011 Annual Holiday Shopping Report. The study explored how the economy, in general, is impacting the attitudes, perceptions, and behaviors of consumers surrounding the upcoming holiday season.

The 2011 Annual Holiday Shopping study was led by Wayne Goodreau, Director/Senior Researcher at Invoke, who will be blogging key insights from the study over the coming weeks. With a focus on holiday planning, travel, spending, and trends in gift giving, the study’s findings offer insights to marketers and researchers looking to gauge consumer sentiment and planned behavior around the upcoming holiday season. Goodreau commented “With Halloween not even in many people’s sightline, it may seem early to be talking about the winter holidays. But, as many of us know, especially those in the consumer packaged goods and retail industries, planning for this all-too important shopping season is already starting, or started, for some.”
