Serving more than coffee, PJ’s Grindhouse offers a convenient drive-thru for people on the go. Just pull up and someone will run out and take your order. There is seating inside with a coffee bar and small table and chairs as well as an inviting outside patio area with a walk-up window and free WiFi.

Drive-thru, walk-up or stay awhile. And that’s just what people are doing at the newly opened PJ’s Grindhouse coffee shop on Santa Rosa Avenue.

“We wanted to start a family business that we could have fun doing together,” said Paula Cileo, owner-barrista and everyone’s mom at PJ’s. “We found a cute little corner on Santa Rosa Avenue and went to work on remodeling the space,” she added. PJs is a cool retro-looking hangout for the locals and passer-bys. The walls display local artists work and all of their ingredients are fresh, organic and bought locally. "This is our home and we intend to support our community in every way possible." added Cileo.

But what catches the eye before you even enter PJ’s is the iconic 6-foot coffee cup sitting on the roof and spouting steam, handcrafted by Paula’s husband and local artist Bill. “We’re getting a lot of people stopping in because they see the giant steaming cup of coffee on our roof,” said Bill. Since we are located in the heart of Santa Rosa’s art district, we thought it was only fitting to contribute this iconic piece of art to the neighborhood,” he added.

PJ’s Grindhouse buys and serves only the finest roasted coffee from a local coffee roaster in Healdsburg, CA called Flying Goat. The coffee of the day is always French pressed and each espresso shot is pulled ristretto, meaning it is the purist pour and is the cutting edge of espresso extraction. PJ’s family of barristas, Paula, Jaime and Jake, spent months training to pull the “perfect shot” and to learn the art of coffee.

You can also find sweet and savory pastries baked fresh daily from Sonoma Muffin Works, a wide assortment of teas and PJ's homemade milk shakes with flavors like coffee or lavender, now becoming the local favorite.

So whether you are a coffee gourmet or just a daily coffee geek, you will definitely taste the difference at PJ’s Grindhouse.

PJ's Grindhouse is located at 435 Santa Rosa Avenue and is open Mon-Fri from 7am to 2pm and Sat & Sun from 8am to 3pm.
