Seeking an Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer that will provide leadership for its “NewGroup” division, this position’s central purpose is to guarantee the operational and financial success of the physician practices within Iowa Health System.
The “NewGroup” was created in 2011 to facilitate physician partnership; its goal is to design system strategy and to decide on important policies critical to the delivery of high-quality patient care. This executive will coordinate closely with Iowa Health System regional affiliates to provide oversight, mentoring, and support to the Regional Directors of Operations (RDO) to ensure regional success.

Qualified candidates are required to hold a Master’s degree in Business Administration or Health Administration from an accredited graduate program. The successful EVP/COO will be supported with a minimum of five years of experience as a senior executive leading a hospital-based multi-site physician practice, as well as with a track record of developing operational structure for a multi-site group practice and for improving operational efficiencies while building a culture of quality, trust, accountability, excellent customer service, value, and respect.
