Earl was a leader for our company and a true advocate for making people’s lives more enjoyable. It’s fitting his name will be forever associated with one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces in the Denver area.

Today, the Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield will unveil its new, much-anticipated visitor’s center, named in honor of Earl J. Sinnamon. Mr. Sinnamon was president of Swingle Lawn, Tree and Landscape Care from 1955 to 1980. The occasion marks a continuance of a decades-long partnership between two respected Colorado entities.

“Earl was a leader for our company and a true advocate for making people’s lives more enjoyable,” said Tom Tolkacz, CEO of Swingle. “It’s fitting his name will be forever associated with one of the most beautiful outdoor spaces in the Denver area. We are honored to share this recognition with the Sinnamon family.”

Mr. Sinnamon’s tenure as Swingle’s president began in 1955 when company founder John Swingle died. It continued until 1980, when Mr. Sinnamon also passed away. Under Sinnamon’s direction, Swingle flourished as a leader in professionalism, credibility, and reliable service to the Colorado Front Range community--characteristics the company continues to emphasize in every aspect of its business.

The Earl J. Sinnamon Visitor’s Center will provide an attractive and functional area to host events including concerts and Trail of Lights, which is quickly becoming an annual “must-attend” holiday event for families, sightseers and romance-seekers. Swingle plays an integral role in the annual Trail of Lights event by providing, designing, and installing holiday décor including more than one million lights.

The Visitor’s Center opens September 27, 2011. The public is welcome to attend. The Denver Botanic Gardens at Chatfield address is 8500 West Deer Creek Canyon Road, Littleton, Colorado.
