Comprehensive, self-paced training offered with CADLearning for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012, AutoCAD MEP 2012 and Autodesk Revit MEP 2012.

CADLearning for AutoCAD Civil 3D

CADLearning for AutoCAD Civil 3D offers over 15 hours of training and 168 video tutorials. Taught by Rick Ellis, the course covers basic and advanced topics, including how to create, edit and modify Civil 3D design objects, add annotation, obtain information, import/export, and use Civil 3D data in other applications. “CADLearning for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012 will help civil engineers improve productivity by fully leveraging all the tools and features in this latest version of the software,” said Ellis. “The course will help users to explore design options, analyze project performance and deliver consistent, accurate documentation.” Ellis is the President of Cadapult Software Solutions, Inc. and has over 16 years of experience in the civil engineering industry as a trainer and consultant, CAD manager, civil designer and civil application engineer.

CADLearning for AutoCAD MEP 2012

CADLearning for AutoCAD MEP 2012 offers over 150 tutorials and 12 hours of training. The course also includes CADLearning for AutoCAD 2012 Essentials with an additional 255 tutorials. “AutoCAD MEP 2012 offers MEP tools for more accurate drafting and documentation of building systems in a familiar AutoCAD environment,” said instructor David Butts. “After this course, users will improve productivity and reduce errors by more easily automating drafting tasks and utilizing interference detection.” Lesson topics include accurately creating and modifying 2D and 3D geometry that represent MEP engineering components; applying intelligent data to objects such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing and piping information; and using 3D models to more quickly and efficiently create and produce construction documents. Butts is the BIM Specialist at Gannett Fleming and has worked in the CAD industry as a design, manager and trainer for over 20 years.

CADLearning for Autodesk Revit MEP 2012

CADLearning for Autodesk Revit MEP 2012 offers over 270 tutorials and 16 hours of training for beginner, intermediate and advanced users. Taught by Jason Boehning, this course teaches users about key building information modeling (BIM) features used by mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineers. Lesson topics include setting up a project, creating 3D BIM models with accurate 2D documents, managing dynamic schedules and tags, creating and managing families and customizing the application. “Autodesk Revit MEP supports more accurate and efficient building systems design projects from concept through construction,” said Jason Boehning. “After completing this course, users will be able to design building systems more accurately using coordinated, consistent information inherent in the intelligent Revit MEP model.” Boehning works as the BIM Technology Manager for Rice & Gardner Consultants, Inc. and has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University.

CADLearning for Autodesk Revit MEP, CADLearning for AutoCAD MEP and CADLearning for Autodesk Civil 3D are available for individuals 24/7 via online subscription, or can be purchased on CD/DVD media. 4D Technologies also offers group learning solutions for AEC professionals through Virtual CADLearning Centers for businesses, schools and government agencies.
