Superbreak, the Yorkshire based short break provider has reported a 58% YOY online revenue growth in Christmas and New Year breaks.

Superbreak, the market leader for providing weekend breaks, has reported a 58% YOY revenue growth for 2011 in online sales for Christmas and New Year packaged breaks.

The Yorkshire based tour operator has expanded its range of breaks for 2011 to include a choice of 1, 2, 3 and 4 night breaks over the Christmas and New Year period to ensure customers can celebrate the festive season whatever the budget. The recently re-designed Christmas and New Year Breaks section of the website has allowed the tour operator to better showcase the breadth of packaged breaks available throughout the UK, many of which include dinner, breakfast, festive lunches, evening entertainment and a host of festive treats. In addition to this, Superbreak has expanded their Christmas and New Year product offering to include both traditional favourites and brand new hotel breaks. The longstanding partnerships with key hotel chains and providers allow the tour operator to offer customers a real breadth of festive product from hotels in Edinburgh and London to seaside retreats and breaks in the Lake District.

Current booking trends for 2011 show the most popular destinations to be Bournemouth, London, Harrogate and Edinburgh, with the 4* De Vere Royal Bath Christmas Break in Bournemouth topping the list. The product range for 2011 caters for families, couples and groups alike and Superbreak hope that the choice of packages available will offer both flexibility and value for money. New for 2011 is the introduction of Pontins Holiday Parks, which offer families a full programme of entertainment, breakfast, evening meals, festive lunches and more. Also brand new for 2011, is the tour operators’ Turkey and Tinsel breaks available at a selection of seaside destinations across the UK and allowing customers a last chance pre-Christmas retreat before family celebrations begin. As with all Superbreak bookings, customers can choose to customise their Christmas and New Year breaks further by choosing from a range of sightseeing tours, theatre tickets, rail travel and Oyster cards to add to their booking, which helps set them apart from current competition.

Khalid Amin, Online Marketing Manager at Superbreak, commented: “Over the past three years Festive Breaks have been a huge growth area for us. This year we have seen over a 50% increase in online bookings versus 2010 with New Year Breaks proving incredibly popular.”
