Compliance and Quality Management Systems: ISO 9001, FDA Title 21 CFR Part 11, EU GMP Annex 11
M-Files 8.0 provides a robust foundation for compliance and quality management systems, ensuring that organizations efficiently administer documents and processes according to industry regulations and “Good Practice” quality guidelines (GxP), which includes Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). M-Files provides organizations with the tools to manage the documentation and processes necessary for compliance with ISO 9001, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and EU GMP Annex 11, required in pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing, clinical research organizations, biotechnology, biologics, food, and related industries. Key elements of quality management and compliance efforts supported by M-Files 8.0 include the management and processing of electronic records, signatures and submissions, standard operating procedures (SOP), corrective and preventative actions (CAPA), HR and training requirements and documentation, and audit procedures and findings.

Improve Business Intelligence with M-Files Reporting
M-Files 8.0 features new reporting and analysis capabilities that address a variety of data reporting and exporting needs associated with business documents and associated processes. M-Files Reporting provides insight and visibility into business operations by calculating and displaying statistical data associated with vault contents, analytics for decision support, and content from external sources such as data from CRM and ERP systems. With M-Files Reporting, reports and dashboards are published using the standard M-Files Windows Explorer interface, and their visibility is controlled in the same way that document visibility is controlled in M-Files. Documents can be shown in the same view as other objects and reports, and all reports can be easily printed and exported to common file formats such as Excel, Word and PDF.

“In today’s tough economic climate, businesses need to do more with less, and they need to do it in a data-driven fashion rather than just gut instinct,” said Milliken. “M-Files 8.0 helps in both these areas by enabling companies to increase efficiency, productivity and quality through better organization, information reuse and process automation. This latest edition also improves management decisions by providing business intelligence on important metrics related to sales processes, completed projects, the size and state of proposals, order volumes, employee training and certifications, and compliance audit findings and deviations, to name just a few.”

Microsoft Dynamics Integration and Windows Azure Cloud Platform Featured in M-Files 8.0
As a result of close collaboration between M-Files and Microsoft, M-Files Cloud Vault is now available on Windows Azure, Microsoft’s highly secure and scalable cloud platform. With M-Files Cloud Vault, businesses can now incorporate easy document management running on the highly scalable and reliable Windows Azure cloud platform into their existing on-premise Microsoft Dynamics CRM and ERP systems, such as Dynamics GP and AX. The resulting “hybrid” model supports a uniquely flexible computing environment that enables businesses to maintain their current CRM and ERP deployment approach while utilizing the cloud to improve the way they organize, manage and track important documents and processes.

  • Web publishing that supports collaboration by providing document access to non-M-Files users via the Internet.
  • Autodesk AutoCAD 2012 and AutoCAD LT 2012 compatibility.
  • TWAIN interface support, enabling M-Files to work directly with all scanners.
  • New language support, including Czech and Bulgarian, for a total of 24 supported languages.

M-Files is a professional document management system that enables companies and organizations of all sizes in a variety of industries to make dramatic gains in efficiency and productivity by improving the way they organize, manage and track business documents and processes. M-Files eliminates the need for chaotic Windows folders by organizing documents using simple tags and keywords. With M-Files, users store documents in a centralized vault, the same as they would on any other hard drive on their system or network, but rather than repeatedly searching for the right folder, users simply save documents to the vault and tag. M-Files works like Windows Explorer, so the user interface is familiar to any Windows user and minimizes changes to the way employees work. The M-Files vault is accessed just like My Documents or My Computer, it's just faster and more secure, and finding files is as simple as typing in a tag or performing a full-text search right from the Open or Save dialog box of any Windows application. M-Files is also available as a cloud-based service known as M-Files Cloud Vault that runs on the Windows Azure platform, eliminating the need to purchase and configure a server and providing all the benefits of M-Files for a low monthly fee.
