The award underscores the way we support our customers and team members and do our very best every single day.

For the second year in a row, California Tattoos has made Counselor magazine’s “Best Places to Work" list for the promotional products industry. California Tattoos is ranked 46th on the list of businesses in the advertising specialty and promotional products industry, moving up 20 spots from last year’s list. In addition, Counselor recognized California Tattoos as a “Top 10 Mid-Sized Companies” to work for.
Counselor magazine is a business-to-business trade magazine published by the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI). California Tattoos, a custom temporary tattoo manufacturer, made one of the largest climbs on the “Best Places to Work” list of companies appearing for a second straight year.
"This is an honor," said California Tattoos' CEO Stephen Tooker. "It’s one of our industry’s most valued recognitions because employees reach out and provide personal on-line survey responses about why California Tattoos is a great place to work. The best office environments are those in which employees can work hard and have fun at the same time. The award underscores the way we support our customers and team members and do our very best every single day.”
The list, according to the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI), is made up of 85 companies whose staff "simply love coming to work every day." The survey measured 10 different areas: team effectiveness, employee loyalty, alignment with goals, trust with coworkers, individual contribution, manager effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, feeling valued, satisfaction with current role, and satisfaction with company benefits. The Counselor “Best Places to Work” list was compiled based on in-depth surveys of more than 4,500 promotional products industry employees who completed a 37-question survey about their experience working at their organization. It is conducted by independent research firm Quantum Workplace on behalf of ASI to accurately measure employee sentiment.
California Tattoos' Director of Custom Products, Damon Safranek, said he is especially pleased with California Tattoos' ranking. "We encourage team members to express their comments and thoughts," Safranek said. "Our staff has come up with some excellent ideas that we've been able to implement and which enhances employee participation."
