[Regent SNAP] will help APUS provide its prospective students with an accurate and immediate estimate of their cost of attendance.
Frederick, MD (PRWEB) September 29, 2011
Regent Education today announced that online education provider American Public University System (APUS) has chosen its Student Needs Analysis Profile (SNAP) as the platform for their Net Price Calculator, a free service designed to help students determine the net price of a higher education institution and their eligibility for student financial aid programs.
Regent SNAP meets Higher Education Opportunity Act of 2009 requirements for net price calculators used by colleges and universities participating in Title IV student aid programs. It provides a fully customizable and flexible data gathering application that can be used to support enrollment and admissions teams.
“We have not raised undergraduate tuition over the last ten years, so our current students expect a high- quality education from us at a predictable and affordable cost,” said Terry L. Grant, vice president, enrollment management and student support, for APUS. “The Regent net price calculator solution can now help them more easily estimate their total cost of enrollment.”
Unlike simple cost calculator widgets, SNAP provides estimates of awards and expenses based on Federal assessment methodology as well as an institution’s specific financial aid policies and student cost models to provide exceptional accuracy and reliability. In addition to Federal aid, SNAP is easily customized to incorporate state and institutional awards.
“We are very pleased to have APUS as a new Regent SNAP customer,” said Randy Jones, CEO of Regent Education. “Our solution will help APUS provide its prospective students with an accurate and immediate estimate of their cost of attendance.”
