Tracker Corp, http://trackercorp.com, developer of the most innovative I-9 compliance software and the immigration management system (IMS) used by more Fortune 500 employers than any other IMS on the market, announced the addition of a new granular security system for the DocVault file upload process in ImmigrationTracker™ 7.5 software, allowing visibility of specific documents to be restricted to selected groups or individuals (human resources employees, external professionals, foreign nationals and the foreign national's family) and later enabled or disabled at any time.

Previously (and still true with competitors' IMS systems), once a law firm, legal department, HR employee or foreign national uploaded a document to the case file, other groups or individuals associated with that process could see any other associated document. This open visibility could create privacy issues or cause difficulties during a document's draft stage.

With ImmigrationTracker software's new DocVault security controls, the permissions will be pre-populated based upon desired Application or Employer-specific defaults. The user can choose to override these defaults simply by clicking on a checkbox control that enables the file to be shared with a Foreign National, the Foreign National’s Family (All or Individual Members), HR at an Organization (All or Individuals attached to person or process), or an External Professional Organization (All or Individuals attached to person or process).

Furthermore, the document will have restrictions based on whether it is Awaiting Review or Accepted. Regardless of role or document state, a user will be able to view any document that he or she uploaded, and all users of the ImmigrationTracker system will be able to see all documents that have been uploaded.

"Instead of the simplistic choice of allowing everyone or no one to see an uploaded document, now immigration law firms and legal departments have surgically precise control," said Brett Weiss, Tracker Corp CEO. "This power of selective permission is another example of how ImmigrationTracker understands and satisfies the real-world necessities of immigration case management."

Tracker Corp provides software for immigration management, I-9 compliance and E-Verify. Used by more than 75% of the top immigration law firms who buy case management software (according to IndUS Business Journal and American Lawyer Media), as well as many Fortune 1000 companies, hospitals and universities, Tracker Corp products include ImmigrationTracker software and Tracker I-9™ compliance software. Founded in 1998, Tracker Corp is privately held and based in San Francisco, CA.
