Creative Enterprise Of Scion Gears Up To Sign, Produce And Distribute New Group Of Musical Artists Through 2012

Scion A/V, the creative enterprise of the Scion automobile company, announces today its evolution into full-service music company and its commitment to sign, nurture and produce projects for over twenty vital musical artists through 2012. Taking a larger role in the careers of artists than every before, this is a defining moment for Scion A/V which will partner with each artist in the production of an all-original music project, a video and provide tour support as well as public relations, promotion and marketing services. The list of artists on the 2011/2012 roster includes The Melvins, Dam Funk, Steve Aoki, Switch, King Kahn and more.

Since forming in 2003, Scion A/V has worked with over 1000 artists. To date they have generated 50 music releases, 40 music videos and over 1000 artist interviews, sponsored 10,000 events and over 350 Scion-produced events. With this new vision to create longer, more complete relationships with the artists they sign, Scion set out to find bands and artists with growing fan bases and critical acclaim and who embody Scion A/V’s goal to entertain and innovate in unconventional ways. All twenty artists will create original, previously unreleased musical projects, which the artist 100% owns. As always, Scion A/V releases all of the projects digitally and free to the public.

“Having worked with so many credible, underground artists, Scion not only gained tremendous integrity with the artistic community, but also the desire to move to the next level with regard to a more complete relationship with the artist,” says Jeri Yoshizu manager of sales promotions for Scion.
