The furniture pieces included in this feature were used by Ruth Daniels, the Creative Director of Absolute Abode for a project produced in partnership with Oficina Inglesa to create bespoke furniture pieces for her new Grade II listed Georgian country house built in Cotswolds stone in the Gloucestershire countryside. Using Oficina Inglesa’s bespoke service the furniture pieces have been entirely crafted to her size, design and material specifications.
The furniture pieces that have been used in the project were the Neagle dining table, the Daniels coffee table and the Mills console table. The coffee table for example was designed by Absolute Abode and was made by Oficina Inglesa to fit precisely in the drawing room.
“The Cotswolds project is a great example of our bespoke service, as it shows what fantastic results can be achieved by combining the design side of the business with the incredible skill of our craftsman,” adds Eduardo Alves (Managing Director of Oficina Inglesa).
Ever since Oficina Inglesa was established in 1987 they have been dedicated to developing and creating French style furniture to order, and as such possess all the necessary resources and tools to transform the furniture in any home into bespoke, high-quality pieces of excellent taste. Under the attentive eyes of their design team, and the skilled hands of their craftsmen, they can produce entirely new bespoke furniture pieces from a photograph or technical design. Thanks to their extensive archive of available materials, choice of woods, veneers, finishing and upholstery all these materials were therefore easily chosen to best suit Daniel’s home.
“It is this flexibility that attracts so many of our clients, knowing that their individual needs will be met,” adds Eduardo.
This was also true for the pieces included in a project recently completed in Barbados by Oficina Inglesa in the West Indies. Looking for inspiration in the existent colonial-style of this incredible farmhouse, Oficina Inglesa created a number of pieces in solid Mahogany and finished them in a custom made colonial finish that matched the client’s existent furniture and requirements. This then goes to show how diverse Oficina Inglesa’s portfolio of products can be as well as showing off their incredible range of options available to their various clients.
Oficina Inglesa are specialists in crafting French furniture, and reproductions. They have grown to achieve international acclaim for their classic furniture and accessories. Located in one of Brazil’s most exclusive areas, the company is also represented by a branch in the UK where its beautiful products can be found spread over five continents.
