Whenever a company hits a milestone anniversary, the first thing that comes to mind is the customers that they have worked with over the years. Chris Highfield, Director of Global Sales, wanted to take this opportunity to thank these customers,
"For over 60 years, American Trim has been providing innovative ideas to our customers which have resulted in best total cost solutions. We appreciate and highly value our customers and look forward to future opportunities to form, coat and decorate products for the industry," says Chris Highfield.
In the lobby of the American Trim headquarters in Lima, Ohio is a dedication to the history of American Trim. This lobby/gathering area was completed last year as a celebration of our previous CEO, Leo Hawk. The room showcases four, eight foot panels that tell the story of the company. The four panels are titled: Starting a Tradition, Establishing a Presence, Expanding Our Capabilities, and Building for the Future. Each panel illustrates the progression the company has made over the last 60 years, and the major milestones that have shaped the company into what it is today. Starting from a small tool and die shop in Lima, Ohio, the company has grown to a major decorative and functional metal products manufacturer whose presence has expanded to Erie, Pennsylvania, Cullman, Alabama, Sidney, Ohio, and Monterrey, Mexico.
Leo Hawk is now the Chairman Emeritus of American Trim and has been with the company since inception in 1951. He shared this sentiment when asked about the 60 years of business:
"As I reflect upon my 60 years of relationship with American Trim, from helping my dad start a tool shop to what has matured to the present organization, I marvel at all the accomplishments that have been attained as well as the special efforts of all the people who helped build the company to where it is today. To the people who have worked in the past as well as those who are working today to make and develop tools, processes and the final products we ship daily, I say to each one of them, 'Thank you for all your efforts. We do appreciate you!'"
