Fashion Show, Entertainment and Celebrity Appearances to Honor Cancer Survivors

“We are thrilled to have this opportunity to honor cancer survivors in Silicon Valley and to benefit the American Cancer Society,” said Laura Vestal, Westfield Valley Fair’s Marketing Director.

Westfield Valley Fair will bring a high-energy fashion production to shoppers in the Bay Area with the ‘Project Pink Runway Show’, presented in partnership with MODE Bay Area. Hasti Kashfia of MODE Bay Area will host the event. Scheduled to be held on Saturday, October 1st at 3:00 PM at Westfield Valley Fair, all proceeds from the second annual Project Pink benefit will benefit the American Cancer Society. This is the second year that Westfield Valley Fair has sponsored the fashion even to raise awareness and funds for cancer survivors in Silicon Valley.

Highlighting the excitement of the 2011 fall fashion season, Project Pink will take place in a tented venue at the Forest Avenue Entrance to Westfield Valley Fair. The current season Project Runway cast member, Laura Kathleen, is making a special appearance at this year’s Project Pink benefiting The American Cancer Society. Laura Kathleen recently showed her Spring/Summer 2011 Collection at Mercedes Benz Fashion week in New York City. Laura Kathleen also teaches fashion design in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Entertainment will be provided, ‘swag’ gift bags for attendees will be distributed and exclusive raffle items will be featured. The evening will offer drinks and tasty fare from California Pizza Kitchen. The fashion show will introduce the latest fall trends from select retailers at Westfield Valley Fair, including Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Betsey Johnson, Franco Uomo, Gap, Superdry and others. During the evening’s event, several Cancer survivors will be present to share inspirational stories about life, recovery and hope.
