Bloomington, MN (PRWEB) September 28, 2011
Great things in technology were happening in 1986. Not only did a company called Microsoft list on the New York Stock Exchange selling shares at $21 each, but also Jim Loffler began Loffler Companies. Jim started Loffler Companies in 1986 working out of his garage with his wife Darcy, selling dictation equipment. Technology was very basic back then with a typical office having an electric typewriter, maybe a newfangled thing called a personal computer, a basic phone, and potentially a fax machine. The bulky personal cellular phone with a flip lid mouthpiece was still three years out yet that Motorola would retail for $3,000.
Much has changed over these 25 years but one thing is constant…the number one focus of Loffler and its employees is to exceed client expectations. Jim understood way back in 86’ that by focusing on the clients needs and exceeding any expectations they may have will result not only in satisfied customers but a successful business that will grow and provide solutions long into the future.
Many of Jim’s original clients are still with him, expanding the solutions utilized in their organization that Loffler offers. As he grew, he provided more solutions as a trusted advisor to his clients including the addition of fax machines, then printers, then black and white copiers. The business grew to offer voice recorders, information technology and support, color copiers, multifunctional copiers, document management software, on-site managed people based services, managed print services, and IT managed solutions.
His current client base of over 7,000 is supported by a state-of-the-art iNOC center that receives support calls and dispatches client focused technical support. By providing leading edge technology, services, and support, Jim was recently recognized by Ernst and Young as an Entrepreneur Of The Year Finalist. He has built a 285 employee strong organization of the most talented resources to support his clients. The Minneapolis Star Tribune recognized his team and the workplace they have created as one of the Star Tribunes Top 100 Workplaces in 2011. He is most proud though of the way his entire organization gives back to the community, including St. Josephs Home for Children and as a Gold Sponsor for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.
Jim will celebrate these 25 great years with a large gala in October surrounded by many of his clients, suppliers, employees, friends, and family. He is most thankful to all of these people and organizations for their confidence and support working together as a true partners.
