MediaVest and Draft FCB join Vibrant for the Southern NY Chapter’s Bike MS 2011

Vibrant is proud to join this important cause and offer support for the National MS Society’s Bike MS NYC.

For the second year running, contextual advertising leader Vibrant will participate in the Bike MS NYC to increase awareness for the disease and raise funds for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The ride this Sunday, October 2, hosted by the Southern NY Chapter of the National MS Society, features over 5,000 cyclists in a 30, 50, and 100 mile ride. The event is expected to raise more than $3 million in support of the programs and services the Southern NY Chapter offers for people living with Multiple Sclerosis in the five boroughs, and in Westchester, Putnam, Rockland, Orange, and Sullivan counties.

MediaVest and Draft FCB have teamed up with Vibrant to raise more than $11,000 to support research for the cause, treatment, and cure of this unpredictable disease that afflicts the central nervous system.

“Vibrant is proud to join this important cause and offer support for the National MS Society’s Bike MS NYC,” says Jeff Babka, Chief Operating and Financial Officer of Vibrant. “This is part of the commitment we have to making a positive impact in every community in which we do business – in 11 cities in the US and worldwide.”

“We are thrilled to have Vibrant’s team join the Bike MS NYC once again, along with 5,000 participants in the movement toward a world free of multiple sclerosis. Their fundraising supports critical MS research and helps make possible the hundreds of programs the chapter provides people affected by MS,” says Meghan Finn, a spokesperson for the New York City – Southern New York Chapter of the National MS Society.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society supports studies to reveal the cause and course of the disease in addition to providing education, programs, and services to everyone who is affected by MS – including the diagnosed, their friends and families, and the healthcare professionals who work with them. The Bike MS NYC ride starts at 7:30am on Sunday, October 2 at Pier 94 on West 54th Street and the West Side Highway.
