Giving back to the community is one of my greatest passions, and I am so humbled by the incredible turnout today by all of those who volunteered their time to help out those in need.

Dr. Ross Clevens, Brevard’s only Board Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Specialist, hosted the second annual “Face of Change” food-packaging event on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Florida Air Academy.
Almost 600 volunteers showed up to give their time and help package 108,000 meals for the hungriest children and families in Brevard County. The volunteers included staff of Dr. Clevens, friends of the practice, and students, family, and staff from Florida Air Academy.
“We exceeded our goal of 100,000 meals,” said Dr. Clevens, host of the event. “Giving back to the community is one of my greatest passions, and I am so humbled by the incredible turnout today by all of those who volunteered their time to help out those in need.”
100% of the meals packaged were donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, Brevard chapter. Second Harvest Food Bank is a private, nonprofit organization that collects and distributes donated food to more than 500 nonprofit partner agencies in six Central Florida counties: Brevard, Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole and Volusia.
This is not the only charity event that Dr. Clevens participates in. He travels to Tanzania in eastern Africa twice a year on a medical mission trip to help those in need. The Africa mission brings free medical, surgical and dental care to the Singida Region of Tanzania, East Africa through Outreach Africa.
The Clevens Center for Facial Cosmetic Surgery provides state-of-the-art facial plastic surgery, and has two offices in Melbourne and Suntree. Dr. Clevens is the only board-certified facial plastic surgeon from Stuart to Daytona Beach.
