ARe® Announces the Finalists for the Just One Bite Short Story Contest

The 32 writers whose entries make up those chosen as finalists in the 2011 All Romance eBooks (ARe) Just One Bite writing contest have been announced.

Along with the names of those chosen, the eBook retailer ARe revealed that the 32 finalists encompass authors published with traditional publishing houses, small press and self-published, as well as unpublished writers. All will compete head-to-head beginning at the ARe site on October 1, 2011.

Although voting doesn't open until October 1, readers can begin devouring all 32 of the Just One Bite stories as early as September 22 in preparation for the first round. Expect to see varied sub-genres of paranormal romance, including futuristic, sweet, erotic, contemporary, historical, gay, and more, all sharing the common elements found in paranormal romance.

The finalists, in alphabetical order, are Melisse Aires, Randi Alexander, Debra Anastasia, Alessia Brio, Joely Sue Burkhart, Cardeno C., Raven Corinn Carluk, Juliet Cardin, Christine DePetrillo, Megan Derr, Barbara Elsborg, Rachel Maria Gallagher, Angelita Gill, Sarah Gilman, Kathryn Meyer Griffith, Rukaya Hamdi, Ana Hart, Lauren Hawkeye, Ann Hinnenkamp, Mara Ismine, Kim Knox, ID Locke, Elaine Lowe, Sarah Madison, Anitra Lynn McLeod, Jocelyn Michel, Ashlynn Monroe, Allie Ritch, Ada Maria Soto, Rosalie Stanton, Julia Talbot, and Shermaine Williams.

Readers will decide the winners during five bracketed rounds of competition broken down as follows:
Round 1: October 1-7 (32 titles)
Round 2: October 8 - 14 (16 titles)
Round 3: October 15 - 21 (8 titles)
Round 4: October 22 - 28 (4 titles)
Round 5: October 29 - 31 (2 titles)

Voters must be logged in to their ARe account to see the brackets and vote at Opening and closing of voting will be according to US/Central time.
