“Giving our executives fast, easy access to SAP solutions to manage high-ticket purchase orders improves productivity of our system and our ability to meet project deadlines, helping us to be more responsive to customers."

SEAL Innotech, a spin-off from SEAL Consulting, an SAP services partner, announced today a new agreement with Day & Zimmermann for the deployment of micro-apps on the Apple® iPad™. Day & Zimmermann, a $2.2 billion provider of industrial, defense and workforce solutions, conducted a pilot roll out of SEAL Innotech’s appsFreedom™ procurement suite of packaged apps in December 2010, and went into full production in March 2011. The appsFreedom 2.0 solution has been certified by SAP for integration with SAP® applications.

Day & Zimmermann executives operate around the globe managing more than 24,000 employees, making remote access to SAP solutions a priority. The appsFreedom procurement suite gives them the ability to review and approve (or reject) high-ticket purchase orders and other related documents by accessing SAP solutions from an icon on their iPad home screen.

“Giving our executives fast, easy access to SAP solutions to manage high-ticket purchase orders improves productivity of our system and our ability to meet project deadlines, helping us to be more responsive to customers,” commented Sankara Viswanathan, director, Applications Development & Strategy, Day & Zimmermann.

The appsFreedom solution is integrated with Day & Zimmermann’s IT system, including SAP solutions, and was implemented in just weeks since no additional configuration was required. SEAL Innotech’s proprietary technology platform, a secure tunneling framework and no additional data storage needed on the mobile devices were all important points taken into consideration for meeting the company’s IT security guidelines.

Updates to the micro-apps in SEAL Innotech’s appsFreedom solution are deployed and managed entirely through the Apple App Store, simplifying the ongoing management and support for IT.

Today’s announcement was made at the SAPPHIRE® NOW conference, being held in Orlando, Fla., May 15-18. For more information on SEAL Innotech’s appsFreedom solution integrated with SAP solutions, stop by booth 2436 or visit SEAL Innotech at
