What better way to start each day than with a few fun, mental warm-ups. Word puzzles are a fun way to activate the brain and a great way to increase mental flexibility ... and they’re fun.

USA WEEKEND Magazine puzzle expert Terry Stickels is pleased to announce the release of a new 2011 calendar featuring Frame Games word puzzles. The popular brain teasers help keep the mind sharp and improve mental flexibility and problem solving skills.

Frame Games are fun, clever rebus word puzzles contained within small picture frames. The new 2011 page-a-day calendar contains a Frame Game featuring a well-known saying, name, place, title or thing "hidden" in a group of words and symbols. An example would be: paratroubledise ... ''trouble in paradise.''

“What better way to start each day than with a few fun, mental warm-ups,” Stickels said. “Word puzzles are a fun way to activate the brain and a great way to increase mental flexibility ... and they’re fun.”

Since 2000, the puzzles have been a regular feature in USA WEEKEND Magazine, which is carried by more than 600 newspapers with an estimated readership of 48 million people. Stickels’ Frame Games have also appeared on the back on cereal boxes, have been used to promote major motion pictures and have been adopted by the national Alzheimer's Association as its ''puzzle of choice'' for dissemination in its local chapters.

The calendars can be purchased at USAWEEKEND.com and Amazon.com.
