The Tubac Golf Resort and Spa has a full schedule of exciting new events planned for August, September and October, 2011. The resort, just 40 minutes from Tucson, is an oasis in the high desert known for its famous 27-hole golf course where parts of the movie Tin Cup were filmed. The upcoming events, which promise to entertain people of all ages and cultures, will include a Trunk Show, Tequila Dinner, Mexican Independence Day Celebration and Bluegrass Festival.

Saturday, August 6, the Spa at Tubac Golf Resort is presenting a Trunk Show featuring Vin-T Bikini Swimwear. Robin Ashford Macy, designer of the Vin-T Bikini, will be on hand to talk about her designs and discuss her future projects. The event will include wine, botanas and a free gift.

Saturday, August 27, Guillermo Ericson Sauza, will debut Tequila Fortaleza. The Tequila tasting will be paired with a five course dinner prepared by Chef John Wooters. Sauza, a fifth generation family member, produces tequila the traditional way; artisan hand-crafted and stone crushed, in his hometown of Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico.

Friday, September 16 is Mexican Independence Day and the resort will be celebrating with a lively and colorful fiesta featuring live music and the Aztec Dancers. The event will include food booths featuring traditional Mexican street food and an ‘especial’ menu in Dos Silos Mexican restaurant.

Saturday, October 29 the resort will present a foot stompin’, banjo strumming, plain old good time Bluegrass Festival featuring three great bands on the Otero Lawn. There will be food booths with lots of delicious edibles and the bar will be open. Bring you lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an afternoon of Bluegrass, America’s music!
