New Report Compares the Consumer Experience of 10 Leading Home Equity Lender Web Sites. On Most Sites It is Difficult to Get a Sense of What the Lender Offers Because of Poor Usability and Missing Details According to the New Study.

Change Sciences Group today released a new report comparing how people experience the current home equity web sites of 10 leading lenders. People seeking to consolidate debt or improve their home by using the equity in their home increasingly turn the web to research rates and compare lender offers. Yet people visiting leading lender sites are likely to be disappointed. Poor usability and missing details are the norm.

"Lenders are leaving significant business on the table by making it harder than it needs to be to research offers and apply online. Lenders have an opportunity to improve the usability and informativeness of their sites. It's a win win. It benefits consumers and the bottom line," said Steve Ellis, a Change Sciences partner and one of the authors of the report.

Sites included in the study are: Bank of America, BB&T, Capital One, Chase, Citibank, Citizens Bank, HSBC, PNC, US Bank, and Wells Fargo.
