PTR Certified Instructor, Head Pro and Junior Coordinator at Bethany Beach tennis facility will serve two-year term. The Sea Colony Recreational Association and Sea Colony Tennis are professionally managed by ResortQuest Delaware.

The United States Tennis Association Delaware District has announced that Sea Colony Tennis' Head Pro and Junior Coordinator Alex Justiniani has been elected to serve a two-year term on its board of directors.

Justiniani is a Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) certified instructor and has achieved professional certifications in all three PTR pathways: Adult Development, Junior Development and Performance. He also serves as Delaware’s PTR state representative and in 2012 was named Delaware’s PTR Pro of The Year.

Alongside Tennis Director Thomas Johnston, Justiniani created the Sea Colony Junior Tennis Academy, which serves as a training site for high school and tournament level players, as well as the 10 and under group. In March, the Tennis Academy holds its annual “March Madness” fundraiser, which raises money for local charity organizations and furthers Justiniani’s goal to create more tennis awareness and opportunities in lower Delaware.

As a player, he competed in ITF and Futures Circuit in the United States, Mexico and Europe. He was ranked among the Top 100 Junior Players in Mexico and competed at the Sectional, State, and National level in both singles and doubles. Justiniani trained in Van Der Meer Tennis Academy in Hilton Head Island, S.C.

With 34 tennis courts, including four indoor and 14 Har-Tru clay, and an experienced, talented group of teaching professionals, Sea Colony Tennis, under Tennis Director Thomas Johnston, offers a wide range of camps, clinics and private instruction to tennis players of all ages and skill levels.

Selected as a 2012 USTA Outstanding Facility of the Year, Sea Colony has earned additional national and global honors, including being named a Top 50 resort and the No. 13 tennis camp in the world, as well as the No. 4 for the best overall children’s programs and No. 5 for best junior programs, by TennisResortsOnline.com, an online publication whose annual rankings are determined by tennis players. Earlier this year, Sea Colony was listed among Tennis magazine’s Top 50 American Resorts, including No. 3 in the Mid-Atlantic region.
