San Francisco Bay Area branding and design firm Project6 Design has received a new honor from The 2012 Davey Awards, presented by The International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA) in recognition of the finest creative work from the world’s best small firms, agencies, and companies. Project6 received a Silver Award in the Charitable Organizations category for their website design for nonprofit the National Girls Institute (NGI), whose mission is to advance understanding of girls’ issues and improve program and system responses to girls in the juvenile justice system.

NGI is a federally-funded partnership between the National Council on Crime and Delinquency and the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. Project6 worked closely with both organizations on the website design, ensuring a smooth process throughout.

The NGI website was built with WordPress, an open-source content management system (CMS). WordPress is one of the most popular content management systems in use on the Internet, and it allows the NGI Team to update and maintain web site content quickly and easily.

“Project6 is extremely honored to be recognized with a 2012 Davey Award for our partnership with NGI on this very inspiring website,” says Esten Sesto, president, Project6. “Our goal was to create a website that connects with their users in a meaningful way, with an emphasis on the clean design Project6 has become known for.”

“This year’s winners,” declares Linda Day, Executive Director of the IAVA, “truly represent a smart, nimble approach to creativity and embody the quick thinking, resourceful nature that make small agencies so unique.”

About The Davey Awards
The Davey Awards are sponsored by The International Academy of the Visual Arts (IAVA), an organization consisting of top-tier media, advertising, and marketing professionals from the world’s leading organizations and firms. Each year, The Davey Awards honors the “Davids” of creativity — the smaller agencies, companies, or organizations with annual billings or revenues below certain levels that derive their strength from big ideas, rather than big budgets.
