Kroll’s Alan Brill Named to Faculty of NATO 2012 Cyber Terrorism Course

Brill will make presentations on Cyber Terror, Cybercrime, future trends in Cyber Terrorism and facilitate class discussions and exercises.

It’s a great honor to be selected as a member of the faculty at NATO’s Centre of Excellence.

Alan Brill, Senior Managing Director, Kroll, was recently named to the faculty of the NATO 2012 Cyber Terrorism course that will be conducted at the NATO Centre of Excellence-Defence Against Terrorism in Ankara, Turkey. Mr. Brill will make two presentations during the week of May 7-11: Cyber Terror, Cybercrime and Cyber-risk: A Report from the Front Lines of the Battle, and Future Trends in Cyber Terrorism. He will also serve as a facilitator for class discussions and exercises.

“It’s a great honor to be selected as a member of the faculty at NATO’s Centre of Excellence,” said Mr. Brill. “It gives me a unique opportunity to see what our counterparts around the world are observing and doing to counter the kinds of cyber threats our clients face.”

The objectives of the course are to examine the increasing threat of attacks to cyber systems, discuss the vulnerability of cyber systems, consider how terrorists can exploit the Internet and examine possible strategies to defend against cyber terrorism.

The NATO Centre of Excellence-Defence Against Terrorism provides subject matter expertise on anti- terrorism best practices, anti-terrorism training and education, testing and validating terrorism-related NATO concepts through experimentation and assisting in doctrine development by leveraging knowledge and lessons learned by experts in the field.
