Increasingly, enterprises want the flexibility to deploy an application on-premise or in the cloud as needed. However, most on-premise applications are not designed to move as-is to the cloud, and too often developers are required to use different tools for each platform. WSO2 will present a technical webinar to explain how WSO2 Carbon Studio addresses the challenge by allowing any application built in this integrated development environment (IDE) to be deployed directly on the WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform, WSO2 Stratos cloud middleware platform, and WSO2 StratosLive platform-as-a-service (PaaS). This is possible because the platforms are built on a single code base, allowing seamless migration between on-premise, a private cloud, public cloud, or hybrid cloud environment.
The one-hour free WSO2 technical webinar, “Building Applications with Carbon Studio for On-premise and the Cloud,” is being held on Thursday, April 19, from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. Pacific. Building Applications with WSO2 Carbon Studio
The webinar will provide developers familiar with Java and Web services an alternative to the use of multiple tool sets. The session will demonstrate how to use WSO2 Carbon Studio, which is designed as an extension to the popular Eclipse IDE, to create a simple application and then deploy it on-premise and in the cloud. The webinar also will examine how Carbon Studio helps IT professionals throughout the development process—whether creating a proxy service using the WSO2 Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) or building a custom Web application hosted on the WSO2 Application Server.
The webinar will be presented by Chintana Wilamuna, WSO2 associate technical lead on the WSO2 development technologies team. Chintana is an Apache Stonehenge committer, who specializes in cloud computing, distributed and parallel computing, high scalable architectures, programming languages, and functional programming.
