LocoShake, a social discovery company focused on privacy and simplicity, has released the beta version of its Phone app and is seeking beta testers.
LocoShake shows users the real time location of nearby members and allows users to discover a tidbit of information about other members. The LocoShake community can send a message to each other with a built in IM feature.
"Real time location based services need to focus on making users comfortable with the radically new concept of sharing your real time location with the world," said Tom Lasater, Founder and CEO of LocoShake.
Customizable privacy settings that adjust to the comfort level of each user are part of LocoShake’s current minimal feature-set. LocoShake has four simple levels of privacy:
"Further, refinements are on the way, but we feel these four choices are easy to understand and cover a wide range of comfort levels," said Lasater.
“Our beta version has some issues such as battery consumption, which we are solving. However, if you are an early adopter and would like to test LocoShake, please download the LocoShake iPhone app and give us some feedback," said Lasater.
