We've devoted a lot of time and effort perfecting our manufacturing process for our new line of utility enclosure boxes.

Sacramento, CA (PRWEB) July 30, 2012

As an added service to their customers, Jensen Precast has long offered small utility enclosure boxes purchased from other precast concrete manufacturers. Now Jensen Precast, one of the country’s largest family owned precast concrete manufacturers, is manufacturing their own line of handholes and traffic boxes used by electrical, water, and communications utilities. The specifications of the product line are equal to those of Oldcastle® Christy® utility and traffic boxes as well as Brooks® pull boxes.

“We wanted better control over the quality of the handholes and pull boxes we provide to our customers,” said Don Jensen, Founder and CEO of Jensen Precast. “We’ve devoted a lot of time and effort perfecting our manufacturing process for the boxes to assure that they maintain the exceptional quality for precast concrete our customers have come to expect from us.

“Based on comments we are receiving from our customers, we’re happy to say that all the effort we’ve put into this product line is paying off.”

To manage their new Handhole and Meter Box Division, Jensen Precast has brought Ken Hazleton on board. He brings with him more than 45 years of experience in the precast concrete pull box industry. Having worked for the area’s largest producers of handholes and meter boxes, Hazleton is a familiar face throughout the Southwest with utilities, agencies, municipalities, contractors, and engineers who have been relying on his expertise over the years.

“Ken’s proficiency in the industry is proving to be invaluable as we roll out this new product line,” said Eric Jensen, Chief Marketing Officer of Jensen Precast. “We’re delighted to be able to round out our offerings with our own line of handholes and meter boxes for our utility customers.”

“A few months ago we launched our LockLid™ line of locking security lids for utility pull boxes and handholes,” said Tony Shanks, President of Jensen Precast. “While it’s great that these lids are designed to retrofit into other manufacturers boxes to help prevent copper wire theft, it’s even more gratifying to see them in our own boxes.”

The initial roll out consists of traffic rated pull boxes with steel lids, including the LockLid™ brand of traffic rated lids, in five standard sizes including the popular 10 X 17 and 17 X 30 inch boxes as well as a round valve box with a cast iron lid. It will also consist of non-traffic handhole boxes with a variety of lids including the LockLid™ brand.

All the metal lids for the handholes and traffic boxes, including the LockLid™ brand, are manufactured by Jensen MetalTech, a division of Jensen Precast. They are available in diamond plate as well as TraxPlate® – a patented slip resistant surfacing process exclusive to Jensen MetalTech.
