WPI Communications seeks respondents for survey detailing marketing practices among dentists

Dental practices will be able to use this year’s survey results to obtain a full picture of marketing spending for the past two years and see projections for 2012. Respondents to this year’s survey will receive a copy of “The Art of Generating Patient Referrals with a Newsletter.”

The 2011 survey found that patient newsletters and newsletters to referring healthcare practitioners represent the greatest projected growth opportunities, each expected to increase by 14% of practices. The data from the past two years indicates that dentists recognize the importance of newsletters in marketing their practices, but procrastinate in implementation. Another key finding was that Web sites will continue to be the most popular tool, as 83% plan to utilize these, up from 2009 and 2010 numbers.

“This year’s survey will once again help dentists understand how and where their colleagues and competitors are spending on marketing.
