In Marilyn K. Dorlac’s new novel Pandora's Diary 1 (published by AuthorHouse), Pandora must overcome all odds and find the strength she holds within to be successful on her many journeys through life.

An Excerpt from the book:

Please excuse Pandora for she thinks that she has lost herself amongst the ruins of this earth. She has endured so much, but she still stands firm in her beliefs to one-day rule over her world. Yet, not to leave a stone unturned until she finds her true strength and power within herself. She has many who want to be deterrents and trying to make her fall, even to this day. She will not let this happen. She must admit that this little girl is growing quite tired of how things are run. She must do something soon! Ah! But Pandora has a plan. She knows how they spy on them all, especially on the powerful people in the world.

To help tell Pandora’s story, Dorlac uses diary entries written from Pandora’s perspective throughout the book. By writing through the character’s persona, Dorlac hopes readers will become emotionally engaged in the story.

Ultimately, Dorlac sees this book as more than an entertaining journey. “There is self-help information all throughout Pandora's Diary 1… motivation, healthy eating tips and much, much more,” she says.

Dorlac provides a rich story which simultaneously empowers, educates and entertains. She hopes readers will be inspired by Pandora’s bravery.

Pandora's Diary 1 can help women and children who are victims of domestic violence, explains Dorlac. She also sees this as a book which could offer some comfort to people with learning disabilities or people suffering from OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder/Hyper Activity).
