New Director of Sales for Smith’s Southeast Asian offices provides dynamic trading leadership

Smith & Associates, an industry leader in the field of global electronics distribution, today announces the promotion of Kent Pang to the position of Director of Sales for Smith’s Southeast Asian offices.

Pang recently served as a Trading Manager for Smith's Asian Headquarters in Hong Kong after helping successfully set up Smith’s Shanghai office in 2004. Working closely with major international distributors and contract manufacturers, Pang gained a wealth of experience navigating a changeable market to efficiently deliver his customers the high-quality product they required. In his new role as Director of Sales, Pang will oversee the responsibilities and operations of Smith’s sales and purchasing departments at its Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Taipei offices.

“Kent has shown consistent adaptability and expert industry knowledge during all his time serving as a Trading Manager,” said Marc Barnhill, Chief Trading Officer of Smith. “He knows this rapidly-growing market inside and out and he knows how to work with a variety of customers to get each of them exactly what they need. This experience will serve him well as he leads the sales and purchasing teams in our Southeast Asian offices and works to expand the high quality service we offer to current and new customers alike.”

Kent Pang joined the Smith sales staff in Hong Kong in 2000. Pang has a BBA in Marketing from the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.
