Briggs Buick GMC- one of the leading Buick dealerships in Manhattan, Kansas would like to announce that the 2012 Buick Verano has been named a Top Safety Pick for 2012 by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. This is the final Buick model to be named a Top Safety Pick and completes a clean sweep of Buick cars earning the award. General Motors earned a total of 14 IIHS Top Safety Picks for 2012, which is a major accomplishment.

In addition to the Verano, the Buick LaCrosse, Regal and Enclave models were carryover winners from the 2011 testing.

To earn an IIHS Top Safety Pick a vehicle must protect driver and passengers extremely well in front and side crash tests, in rollovers by a roof strength and simulated rear impacts to evaluate seat and head restraints for protection against neck injuries. The Verano achieved top scores of ‘good’ in all four of the tests. A vehicle must also have standard electronic stability control, which the Verano has to be considered for Top Safety Pick designation.

Briggs Buick GMC was very pleased to see that the Verano received recognition for its safe and dependable ride. Briggs has a large selection of Buick cars in Manhattan, Kansas and used cars in Manhattan as well. For more information on how to own a Buick in Kansas please visit http://www.briggsbuickgmc.com.
