Eighth annual listing recognizes company’s simple, superior approach.

Avercast LLC has been selected by Food Logistics Magazine, the only publication dedicated exclusively to the grocery and foodservice distribution supply chain, as one of the FL100 in its November/December issue. This is the publications’ eighth annual listing of the 100 software and technology providers that help food and beverage distributors and manufacturers to realize their business goals.

Food Logistics recognized Avercast for its ability to accurately forecast and reliably plan inventories of perishable items. Use of Avercast by many food and beverage household name brands makes Avercast a natural for the FL100, though it is the first time the company made the list.

“Effecient, effective control of your perishables is every demand planner’s goal. We have done away with the complexity of forecasting food and beverage while integrating all the best features you’ve come to rely on,” said Co-founder and Executive Vice President Jason Averill. “In this industry, the emphasis has always been, and always will be, on forecast accuracy.”

The FL100 is not a ranking. The alphabetical list has been designed to help the readers of Food Logistics identify the leading software and technology providers in the food and beverage industry. This year the publication focused on solution providers that are helping their customers differentiate themselves in the marketplace, while simultaneously facilitating improved safety and traceability throughout the supply chain.

“Technology is a powerful tool that can ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and serve as a market differentiator in today’s highly competitive environment,” said Lara L. Sowinski, editor-in-chief at Food Logistics. Final recipients are featured in the November/December 2011 issue of Food Logistics, as well as online at http://www.foodlogistics.com.
