SENSA® Announces Its “Share Because You Care” Contest Winner

'Tis the season for giving and donating! In light of the holidays, SENSA® Products, LLC recently hosted its “Share Because You Care” contest on its Facebook page. This second annual contest allowed participants to share their favorite non-profit organization for the opportunity to win $500 for themselves and $500 for the charity of their choice.

‘Tis the season for giving and donating! In light of the holidays, SENSA® Products, LLC recently hosted its “Share Because You Care” contest on its Facebook page. This second annual contest allowed participants to share their favorite non-profit organization for the opportunity to win $500 for themselves and $500 for the charity of their choice.

SENSA® received over 220 qualified entries, and its Facebook community voted for Jennifer from Knoxville, Tenn., as the winner! Jennifer will receive $500 and an additional $500 will be donated to her favorite charity, The Butterfly Fund, in honor of Anna Martin, a 10-year-old girl who was diagnosed with AML Leukemia in May 2011 and recently received a bone marrow transplant, which saved her life.

“Anna has an attitude I’ve never seen before. She fought cancer and never lost hope,” said Jennifer. “More than 12,600 children will be diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. this year. No child should have to experience the pain and suffering that comes with such a horrific disease, which is why The Butterfly Fund means so much to me. I am thrilled that I am able to contribute to this foundation through the SENSA® donation.”

The Butterfly Fund was created by families in memory of their daughters, Emily Barger and Maddie Harrill. Both of these beautiful little girls were diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare form of childhood cancer, in 2007. Sadly, both girls passed away just weeks apart during the summer of 2008. The Butterfly Fund supports research, treatment and services dedicated to the defeat of childhood cancers.

In order to participate, users had to submit the name of their favorite non-profit organization, an original 50-250 word essay on why they believe in the cause, and an original photo relevant to the cause. All approved entries were posted on the SENSA® Facebook page from November 29th to December 16th. Entrants had to be fans of the SENSA® Facebook page. The winner was determined by votes from SENSA® Facebook fans and was announced on December 21, 2011.
