“AutoDaily was simple to deploy and configure remotely, and we’ve been very happy so far with the quality of the reporting. Our development is on track and our engineers are delivering what they promised!”

Ahkun USA, the North American operation of Japan’s Ahkun Co, Ltd, is pleased to announce it has closed its first site license sale for AutoDaily remote productivity management software in the US since opening for business in the summer of 2011.

The customer, MobileASaP, was facing the same challenge as thousands of technology startups – how to manage remote engineering teams for optimum productivity. The company, which develops real-time mobile security solutions for enterprises, has coding teams in India and Eastern Europe, and is currently funded by its founders, so every dollar invested in development must deliver the best possible return. The solution came from an unexpected source – when MobileASaP CTO Dilip Kuppuswami ran into a former colleague, Jim Leonard, now US General Manager for Ahkun USA.

“When Jim told me what he was working on, I was intrigued,” says Kuppuswami. “It certainly appeared to offer an easy-to-implement, non-intrusive way to keep an eye on our developers and make sure we were getting our money’s worth.”

AutoDaily automatically creates PC work reports, helping to streamline operations and audit applications to optimize business efficiency. In addition, AutoDaily can apply watermarks to printed documents to discourage hard copy information leakage. The software saves valuable time by automating activity reports – the bane of many remote workers’ lives; reports are generated in the background and emailed automatically to pre-specified email addresses.

Ahkun AutoDaily’s daily log reports cover:

  • PC usage time (active operation)
  • Application usage times
  • Use of unauthorized applications
  • Use of non-business applications
  • For screens: Application name/File name/Window title
  • For printed documents: Application name/File name/Printer name/ Watermarking

“AutoDaily was simple to deploy and configure remotely,” says MobileASaP CEO Arvind Narain. “We’ve been very happy so far with the quality of the reporting, and look forward to expanding our use of the software when Ahkun brings the management console on stream in the Spring. In the meantime, our development is on track and our engineers are delivering what they promised!”

Adds Ahkun USA General Manager Leonard, “As long as organizations are up front with their employees and contractors that they are collecting this information, AutoDaily is a valuable tool for any business needing to track the use of company assets.”

Ahkun Autodaily runs under Windows 7, Vista (32-bit/64 bit version), Windows XP / 2000 (32-bit version), Windows Server 2008 / 2003 (32-bit version), Windows 2000 Server (32-bit version), and Windows Terminal Service, Citrix 4.5 or higher. The software is available in English, Chinese, and Japanese. Licenses start at $25 per user.
