The new act that the government has recently signed is in place to assist the employment of veterans

Breaking news late last month emerged from the Jobs 4 America coalition. An announcement was made involving an alliance with the government-created act entitled “VOW to Hire Heroes Act”.
The Jobs 4 America coalition is a collaboration of call centers all across the country which has a shared goal of creating 100,000 new jobs for Americans over the next 2 years. The new act that the government has recently signed is in place to assist the employment of veterans (including the recently welcomed troops from Iraqi and Afghan wars).
QCSS Inc., a Chicago-based Call Center and Telemarketing Firm, has pledged to do their part by acknowledging that a minimum of 10% of the forecasted 200 new hires from now through 2014 will be veterans and their families.
Catherine Karabetsos, President and CEO of QCSS explained, “We believe passionately in supporting our country’s heroes and we want to do our part in thanking them for their dedicated services. It’s the least we can do and we are very proud to be able to work with our partners to not only create new jobs for Americans but also for our Veterans who are coming home and need work.”
Jobs 4 America is still gathering support for this movement and will soon make an official statement as to how many total jobs will be secured for U.S. Veterans. Although the numbers have not been officially announced, these efforts are looking optimistic. Executive Director of Jobs 4 America, Jim Kohlenberger, says, “...we can set a meaningful goal – like the hiring of 10,000 veterans, wounded warriors, or military spouses”.
